Highlights
The steel conference in San Antonio was really productive and a great time. Seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Networking and learning new things is always exciting….. not a day goes by I don’t learn something in this industry. Lots of great people!
The key note speaker at the opening was amazing! Thanks to each of you for your contribution to this industry!
I am so proud of you Leah Beth Henderson for 3 years of dedication to the children you work so hard to advocate for and this life changing bill!!! Being a overachiever is more than a compliment it complicates every relationship you are involved in because everything has to be done 100% everytime! I get it.
Those of you that don’t know Leah worked with a Kansas State Representative Blake Carpenter to change the label put on children called “emotionally disturbed”to “emotional disability” into Kansas law called HB 2322.
You might wonder what’s the difference? Well those with this label carry it with them for life, and to be associated with folks like people that do the unthinkable like school shootings that are called “emotionally disturbed” simple isn’t right. Parents many times have to make a decision wether to get help from the feds or state and label their child with this label or simply do it all on their own! Leah changed all that in the state of Kansas and did generations of present and future children a lifetime of service ❤️❤️❤️. I am proud to call her my wife and so I surprised her and recognized her in front of her colleagues today with a frame of the bill and the governor.
Congratulations Leah Beth Henderson for 3 years of passion and hard work!!!!
I love you my LMSW!
