Darlene Richeson, MBA, is a seasoned professional with extensive business experience in driving change, process improvement, and advocacy for business objectives.
In 2003, she founded MaZie Global Solutions, LLC, a prominent government relations and public affairs firm in Washington, DC, where she currently serves as President/CEO.

So honored and grateful to participate as a Panelist for the Plenary Session, "Reframing Obesity Statistics to Innovative Solutions" at the 2024 Annual National Minority Quality Forum Leadership Summit in Washington, DC on April 29, along with Dr. Sylvia Gonsahn-Bollie, M.D., DABOM, FOMA, Michelle Ogunwole, MD, PhD, and Nikki Massie. The session was moderated by Debra Fraser-Howze of Choose Healthy Life.
It was a pivotal moment to share the journey of access to care for my son, one of the 41.6 % of Americans with a disability, who is also living with the disease of obesity. We discussed the policy implications of innovative solutions to obesity care. This is especially true as it pertains to seniors 65 and over, as well as approximately 12M Americans with a disability, who also rely upon Medicare, which currently does not cover anti-obesity medicines under Part D. These are two of our most vulnerable populations, both of whom have a high prevalence of obesity.
I would like to thank all the panelists and our moderator for their knowledge, insight, and heartfelt passion in tackling this pervasive issue. It was indeed an inspirational afternoon! A big thanks to Gary Puckrein , Ph.D., President & CEO and Brandon Garrett, COO, as well, for providing us such an amazing platform.
