When I was involved in recruitment, whether as a manager or supporting one, I longed for a simple tool to navigate the sea of CVs from applicants.
It's interesting to see how LinkedIn has integrated AI into its platform, with features like prompting users to assess their fit for a role or learn about a company.
In a recent post on recruitment I asked if the scene had changed. Today I’m pondering if AI is now heavily used in the CV screening process.
Part of me hopes not!
Despite the time-consuming nature of manual screening, I cherished delving into individuals' accomplishments, passions, and unique attributes that often transcend a resume.
While automated programs offer efficiency, I maintain that recruiters should dedicate time to review LinkedIn profiles, meticulously examine CVs, and, most importantly, establish meaningful connections with candidates beyond what paper documents convey. Phone conversations and face-to-face interactions unveil far more about a candidate than any written summary ever could.
