After 7-1/2 years, I am rolling off of my Chairman position at Allegro, leaving it in the capable hands of Gary McGann.   What a journey! Thanks to Richard Sanders, Permira, and David Barker, Cinven, for selling me on this opportunity.  And all the amazing people from Allegro and the Board who I have had the great privilege to work with, many listed below.   I started in January 2017, in Poznan, with Przemyslaw Budkowski and his team. We had a value creation plan (VCP) with over 30 initiatives. We worked hard and long hours, but I was impressed by the Allegro work ethic and so proud of the very solid foundation we built in those first weeks and months.   Our next CEO, Francois Nuyts, arrived in the summer of 2018.  At that time, VCP was in full swing and we were seeing improved growth and performance in the business.  In September 2018, we launched Smart!, our answer to free delivery and loyalty.  Today, Smart! has over 6 million subscribers, and now represents the majority of Allegro's Polish sales.   Covid then hit in February 2020.  We scrambled to help Poles during this difficult time, including offering Smart! for free. Then, unexpectedly, sales growth increased to 60%, 70%, even 80% in one month that summer.  And it was then we decided to do our IPO, something on my list I'd never done, but always wanted to do. With the help of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, we completed our IPO in less than 6 months and entirely online!!  By October 2020, we were public. And the market reaction was amazing.  We were awarded EMEA IPO of the year.  And, to this day, Allegro has been one of the largest IPOs in tech in Europe.   About 2 years later, Francois handed the CEO baton to Roy Perticucci. And Roy has had a very strong start. Cleaning up our business and balance sheet and setting Allegro up for renewed expansion.   Today, Allegro is very well positioned for growth.  We have been consistently growing share in Polish retail but also expanding to Czechia, Slovakia, and beyond.  We also have over 2 million users of Allegro Pay, a well-designed revolving credit facility for our customers with big plans for the future!   Thanks to all and here's to Allegro’s certain future success!!

Best, Darren.    Adam Prindis, Gabriel Andrews, Pawel Padusinski, Cheryl Potter, Nancy Cruickshank, Carla Smits-Nusteling, Pedro Arnt, Laurence Bourdon-Tracol, David Erlong, Catherine Faiers, Robert Hou, Tomasz Suchanski, Jon Eastick, Tom Ruhan, David Roberts, Sandra Bichl, Wojciech Bogdan, Greg Czapski, Matthias Frechen, Jakub Kłoczewiak, Aleksandra („Ola”) Sroka-Krzyżak, Damian Zaplata, Alvise Favara, Izabela Jarosz, Agnieszka Klemens-Jasica, Piotr S., Wojciech Szczęsny, Dariusz Knopinski, Marta Mikliszańska, Marcin Łachajczyk, Magdalena Szymczak-Stepien, Bartek Małecki, Anna Barbara Wrobel, Riccardo Basile, Rustam K.
