President & CEO, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga

Dave Butler served as the President & CEO of Greater Chattanooga Habitat for Humanity from July 2013 until his retirement in March 2021.13 During his tenure, he led the organization in its mission to build affordable housing in the Chattanooga area. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area is a locally organized nonprofit that has been constructing simple, decent, and affordable homes in Chattanooga, Tennessee, since 1986. The organization partners with volunteers and low-income families to build affordable housing, selling these houses to families at no profit and with no interest.

After Dave Butler's retirement, Jens Christensen was appointed as the new President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga in May 2021.24 Christensen brought extensive experience in non-profit leadership, having previously served as the CEO of the Chattanooga Community Kitchen for seven years.2
