Highlights
Three months ago, I began working as the General Manager of Warere Beach Hotel in Zanzibar. I am grateful for the opportunity to wake up every morning knowing that I am guaranteed to face challenges that warrant increases to my mental capacity, lest they go unresolved. From triangulating on how to best accommodate guests during the wee hours of the night to traversing the granularities of accounting while working hand-in-hand with the government, Zanzibar has proven to be an exhilarating journey of personal and professional development. The warm-felt relationships I have forged with each of our 44 dedicated staff members during the short time I have been here are a gem I cannot fathom taking for granted. In the aggregate, as well as individually, our disarming employees embody the virtues that the shareholders who built Warere wanted to champion: integrity, honesty, and hospitality—virtues deeply espoused by both of Warere's owners. I cannot thank them enough for this spectacular opportunity.

Some of the most invaluable insights I have received throughout my college experience have come from my friend, Paul Pesek.
If you or anyone you know is an incoming freshman, rising sophomore or rising junior at a non-target school, this is for you. Paul is launching a startup on college career development and I'd really appreciate it if you were willing to take this 5-10 minute survey. You'll have a chance to win $100 if they hit 100 responses. They will also offer early access to their platform for anyone interested who completes the survey which expires at 11:59 on Tuesday 6/30.
In his words:
You can read a bit more on our preliminary website joinfirstround.com, and if you're interested in chatting about it, would love to share more live.
I'm launching a pilot later this summer and am currently seeking college students (incoming freshman, rising sophomores, and rising juniors) to participate in a 5-10 minute student survey on career development ($100 cash prize to one random participant).
