Highlights
Four years to the day that I went into The Wellington Hospital for my eight hour cancer operation in the middle of the lockdown (hence the beard, selfie and slightly terrified look on my face!). With the tumour growing in my spinal cord, there was a 50:50 chance that I would wake up from the surgery being able to walk. 10 days later I came out of intensive care and spent eight weeks learning how to walk again.
But what a difference four years make.
