Today is my last day at Facebook after 4 years leading Finance and Business Operations for Facebook App and the Technical Infrastructure org. My deepest gratitude to everyone I have had the good fortune to work with, among many other things you have shown me the supreme importance of great people and diverse perspectives, the compounding effect of rapid execution and iterative learning, and the deep fulfillment that rests on the other side of steep learning curves, fast fails and vulnerability.
As for what’s next - My family and I have recently moved back to Melbourne, Australia after 7 years in the Bay Area, and 2 years in Toronto. Top priorities over the next few months will be spending time with family and reconnecting with our community here. After that, I’ll be satisfying a long-held ambition to build a new venture supporting Australian technology companies. More on that soon!
