Highlights
My latest book project I'm lead editor on just got its contract with the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). It's called Digital Literacies for Human Connection and features key concepts to teach about digital tech in English classes, alongside practical, hands-on classroom activities that can be applied right away. I can't wait to get this book in the hands of professors and teachers everywhere!
Santa Clara University is changing its non-tenure-track faculty's titles! (per contract negotiations from the new union).
Adjunct Lecturers (who are really full-time) will just be Lecturers, and Renewable Term Lecturers will become Assistant/Associate Teaching Professors. Senior Lecturers will become Teaching Professors.
It's about time for this change that more accurately and honorably represents our work to students/colleagues/publics, and I hope other universities will do the same!
