David Demsey is a highly experienced Music and Jazz professional with a career spanning over four decades. He has been a devoted faculty member in various esteemed colleges and universities since 1980, specializing in Music and Jazz education. Apart from teaching, David is an accomplished Saxophonist proficient in both Jazz and Classical genres. Additionally, he serves as a Selmer Saxophone Clinician, contributing his expertise to the development of quality saxophones.

David's academic journey is rich with prestigious institutions. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Maine, followed by a Master's in Music from the renowned Juilliard School. His dedication to advancing his knowledge led him to achieve a Doctorate in Music with a major in Saxophone Performance and a minor in Music Theory from the esteemed Eastman School of Music.

Within institutional roles, David holds the position of Coordinator of Jazz Studies at William Paterson University, where he plays a significant role in shaping the Jazz program. Previously, he served as Music Faculty and Dean of Arts & Sciences at the University of Maine at Augusta, showcasing his versatility and administrative capabilities in an academic environment.
