Highlights
It is with great excitement, honour and humility that I would love to share that I will be starting the role of Head of Cloud Platforms at ITV from Mon 8th of April.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in a creative and dynamic British media institution who are providing wonderful content to entertain and inform. It will be great to be part of a talented team of people who will be continuing to grow and enable this through the delivery of excellence in Cloud Services, and Tech more widely.
I would like to thank everyone who's supported and been there for me for the last few months and those that have helped me to find this fantastic role. Also those that have believed in me, giving me this chance to be part of the ITV journey.
I'm really looking forward to starting this next step of my career, working with great people and making new friends along the way.
And so the end of another chapter in my career comes to an end. After 12 great years at Kingfisher, this week is my last. Finishing on the last working day before Xmas brings feelings of sadness and change tinged with the whole background of happiness that we should all be feeling at this lovely time of the year.
I've had a fantastic time, worked with lots of wonderful people and we've done some great things. The years have thrown some challenges at us but every time we've got through them and come out better on the other side. I'm immensely proud of the work we've done to build out an integral capability in the Cloud over the past 6 years, which is underpinning the key business drive of growth online. I was also humbled by the efforts of everyone during the terrible few years of the Pandemic. Everyone dealing with a situation none of us thought we'd ever see, or hope to see again, and the changes that brought to us an organisation. Yet everyone went the extra 100 miles, forget your 1 mile, to keep the company going.
There have been countless people I've had the pleasure to work with, some still here, some who've moved on to new things. Can I say a great big "Thank You" as you've all helped me on my journey and I'm sure will be there for me in the future. I can only say that I feel the same, if you need anything you know where I am.
OK time to start the next step with all the emotion that brings, excitement, fear, anticipation etc etc all mixed together in a big soup.
Here goes, time for that next great job!!!
