Dear Friends I have had my head down since retirement, though very busy. I have, however, been observing from afar the wonderful Private Equity market in which I was so privileged to be immersed for 50 years, with great interest as always. My expert witness work proves intriguing, and so far, fortunately, I have not bumped into any former contacts in that arena! Later this year my restrictive covenants will fall away, so you may hear from me. Whilst I am flattered to keep receiving job offers, I am not going back full-time, just advisory, trustee, mediation etc. David
If you thought you had seen endeavours of courage and hardship, think again. Mike is shortly heading off to kayak entirely solo from Qaqortoq in the very south of Greenland up the west coast to Qaanaaq at the very north, a journey of about 3000 km and taking about 3 months. Inter alia he will be taking samples (don’t ask) which will later be analysed by Stanford, London and other Universities working together to assess how his biome changes when he moves from a western diet to a wholly Inuit diet which will be just what he can catch at the time. A documentary film will be prepared by a Norwegian film crew and from drone footage.
