Virtual Magician - For many years, I worked from one industry to another. But due to Covid-19, I had to become something else. Now I travel around the world virtually, providing a new kind of team building experience.

David John is a Full-Time Virtual Magician since May 2020, having started performing magic as a side gig in 2008. He has entertained families and companies globally with close to 800 shows and received over 800 5-star reviews on Airbnb Online Experience. His clientele includes notable companies like Facebook, Google, Tinder, Tiktok, Amazon, Wix, McKinsey & Company, and more.

Before pursuing magic full-time, David John had a diverse professional background. He possesses excellent communication and analytical skills, excelling in managing complex operations and projects with a result-driven mindset while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. With over 20 years of experience, he began his career as a software development professional handling projects in financial firms in Tokyo and Jakarta. He ventured into entrepreneurship in headhunting, media, and tourism, aiming to leverage his accumulated knowledge and experiences by contributing to challenging roles in digital startups or corporate innovation projects in Tokyo.

David John holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Binus University. He is fluent in English and Japanese, with Indonesian as his native language. Apart from his professional skills, he is technically adept, passionate about learning and performing magic tricks, enjoys traveling, and is an avid photographer.

His skill set includes Business Process Reengineering, Digital Marketing, Strategic Planning, and expertise in Digital Startups and Venture Capital. His work experience spans various roles, including Chief Operating Officer at PT Curio Asia, Professional Recruitment Consultant at recruitment firms, Assistant Vice President at Deutsche Bank, Technical Analyst at SunGard (now part of FIS), Application Consultant at IFS, and Programmer at PT Pharos Indonesia during his university years.
