David Juedes

David Juedes is a tenured professor and Associate Dean for Academics at Ohio University's Russ College of Engineering and Technology.1 He previously served as Chair of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from July 2010 to July 2021.3 Juedes teaches a range of computer science classes from introductory to advanced graduate-level courses and is a senior member of the Association for Computing Machinery.1

His research interests include algorithms, complexity theory, approximation algorithms, and computational biology.1 Juedes earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University and his B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.1

Juedes has received several awards, including becoming a Senior Member of ACM in 2010 and the Russ College Outstanding Research Paper Award in 2004.1 He has published numerous papers in prestigious journals and conferences, with his work focusing on various aspects of computer science, including real-time systems, resource allocation, and computational complexity.1

Currently, Juedes also serves as the Director of the Avionics Engineering Center at Ohio University.2
