David Lisker

Concert Violinist

David Lisker is a concert violinist and music educator with a distinguished background.13 He is the Artistic Director of the Lisker Music Foundation (LMF), a non-profit organization established by his father, Art Lisker, in 2001.12 David Lisker received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Pinchas Zukerman, and his Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Itzhak Perlman and Nick Eanet.4

Born in Novosibirsk, Russia, Lisker immigrated to America with his parents at the age of 4 and began studying violin at 5 under his father's tutelage.35 He has since developed a successful career as a performer and teacher, offering online violin lessons to students worldwide.4 Lisker has given masterclasses at various universities and festivals, including Guadalajara University in Mexico and California State University in Long Beach.4

In addition to his performance and teaching career, Lisker is committed to advancing the mission of his family's foundation, which aims to promote music and the arts as essential components of thriving communities.2 As of 2019, he was also appointed as Assistant Professor of Violin at Western Michigan University's School of Music.6
