David Magier

David Magier is a prominent figure in the tech and startup world, known for his role as a co-founder of Branching Minds, a widely recognized technology company benefiting over 1 million students across the U.S. with a focus on intervention customization for students and schools.

With a robust background spanning more than 12 years, David has established himself as an expert in entrepreneurship, strategy development, product enhancement, vision crafting, and negotiation of partnerships.

Before his involvement with Branching Minds, David founded Couptivate, a consumer web startup, and engaged with several entities in the New York startup sphere, including GateGuru (later acquired by TripAdvisor), providing his acumen on business and legal matters.

Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, David sharpened his legal skills at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, a premier entity in private equity law, where he worked as an attorney in the Private Equity group.

David's educational journey includes a BA in History with a minor in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, a JD with a focus on Intellectual Property from Emory University School of Law, where he also completed a Certificate in IP studies, and high school education at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School.

His impactful contributions extend to organizations like Techstars, where he was an alumnus of the 2014 Kaplan Techstars Edtech Accelerator program, in addition to holding roles at DSM Consulting, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, among others.
