Highlights
I’m proud to see TEECOM continue to rank among the San Francisco Business Times Best Places to Work, Fastest Growing Private Companies, and Top Corporate Philanthropists. I'm also not surprised at the parallelism. It’s what some people refer to as a “virtuous circle,” or as we like to say, “Excellence starts from within.” Success as a business comes from cultivating your staff and contributing to your community, not plundering the people who work for you and those you work among. I commented about this in agreement with Marc Benioff’s recent article. And I'll be talking a lot more about it in my upcoming podcast, which I’m very excited to announce. It’s called Networked, and it’s coming soon!

I agree with Marc - I founded @TEECOM because I wanted to run a business that cares about its employees, its communities, and the planet. That focus has not held us back – in fact, I attribute our continued success and growth to that focus. Our world can no longer afford the kind of business that treats profit and responsibility as mutually exclusive. I applaud Marc’s stance, and I encourage my fellow CEOs and board members, along with government leaders, to embrace a new kind of capitalism.
