It is with many mixed feelings that I announce that I have chosen to leave CineMassive / Haivision MCS after over 17 years. My intention is to take some significant time off and then begin to define the next phase of my professional life.
Robert Kaufman and I founded CineMassive back in 2005. From that time until I no longer controlled the P+L in 2021, we were profitable every year since 2006. For me, profitability was not so much a sign of financial success so much as an indication that we were aligned with our customers and managing our business responsibly.
We made a lot of mistakes along the way, but ultimately built a business and, more importantly, a culture that was resilient and that I was proud to lead. I got to be a included in so many great people's lives that I otherwise probably would have never been a part of, and worked on some of the most challenging and rewarding projects in our niche industry. There is a lot about that culture and those challenges I will miss in the coming years.
Most importantly, I am proud of the work we all did together, which is something we can all carry for the rest of our lives. Customers came to CineMassive when they had challenges that they couldn't trust anyone else to solve, and that is a legacy worthy of the hard work and personal sacrifices that were required to meet those challenges.
I wish Haivision MCS the best moving forward and hope that the culture and the mission that defined CineMassive and made it successful continues to live on without my leadership.
