Industrial and Systems Engineering Student at Virginia Tech

David Petrulis is a second-year undergraduate student at Virginia Tech, majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering and minoring in Green Engineering and Leadership and Social Change. His goal is to apply his passion for leadership, community-building, and engineering to support regional, local, national, and global development.

David is intrigued by leadership and community-building as they foster positive change, support, and understanding among individuals and groups. Additionally, engineering excites him due to its role in creating and evolving the foundational systems of the world.

His aspiration as an engineer is to integrate and manage people, labor, materials, and information to develop more efficient systems and services that benefit communities.

David Petrulis has a background in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech College of Engineering. He also holds an Advanced High School Diploma from Landstown High School's Governor's STEM Academy.

He has been actively involved in various organizations, serving as a Student Mentor at the Student Government Association of Virginia Tech, a Store Cashier at Wegmans Food Markets, a Member at Virginia Tech Student Alumni Associates (SAA), a Student Mentor at Virginia Tech Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity, and a Freshman Committee Member at the Student Engineers' Council at Virginia Tech.
