He held various positions at Shawnee State University, including Provost, Professor of Natural Sciences, Associate Provost, and Faculty member. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Science Education with a focus on Environmental Education and Natural Resources from The Ohio State University, an M.En.S. in Environmental Education from Miami University, and a BS in Applied Science in Pulp and Paper Engineering Technology and Science Education, also from Miami University.
