David Wells is a dedicated educator, artist, and maker with a diverse background in creative fields and education.

With over 10 years of experience at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) Maker Space, David has specialized in designing learning opportunities that foster skill development and problem-solving across all age groups.

He has elevated NYSCI's Maker Space to international acclaim, emphasizing creative pedagogy, educational theory, design thinking, and making.

David excels in developing engaging activities and inclusive learning environments that promote community participation.

Beyond NYSCI, he has collaborated with various educational institutions, both profit and nonprofit, to infuse creativity and making into their organizational fabric.

His contributions have been acknowledged through nominations for prestigious initiatives like President Obama's Champion of Change and invitations to speak at conferences globally.

Prior to his tenure at NYSCI, David explored diverse creative roles such as music photography, multimedia artistry, and music composition.

He holds a Master's degree in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education and a Fine Art degree from FIT.

David resides in Brooklyn with his family and pets, surrounded by a plethora of tools, musical instruments, and original works of art.
