Highlights
While remaining happily retired we are doing some travelling. Back in Australia for a few months now to see what has changed and catch up with friends. I have put an event on Facebook (friends only can see) for a catch up with ex-Dimension Data people that I worked with in Sydney in the Doody Street, George street or at the Bushell's building. Some fabulous memories from those days. It will be on Wednesday 24th January after 6pm. Just a meet up at a pub in the city. If you are interested in attending send me a message and I will provide the details.
After more than 28 years in Com Tech/Dimension Data/NTT it is time for me to Retire. We are now looking to split our time between Australia and the UK (and a few places in between).
It has been a long Journey since March 1994 when I was fortunate enough to get a role at Com Tech Communications in Australia. Com Tech grew quickly, and I was lucky enough to grow with the company through the acquisition by Dimension Data and then the subsequent acquisition by NTT.
Just over 12 years in Australia and now more than 16 years in the UK has allowed me to experience so many things both personally and professionally. I have learnt from the best in the industry and have managed to live and work in many locations. Each role has taught me something more about myself and about the fabulous IT industry that I work in.
I also hope that in some small way I have helped some of the people who have worked with me to find their place in the industry and to thrive in their career. When I look back at the many people I have worked with it is with great pride to see the positions they now hold and the way their careers have progressed.
I will not call out individuals who have supported my journey. There are far too many to name. You know who you are, you are all incredibly important to me, and I look forward to staying in touch with you. Thank you to every single person who has supported and helped me over the years.
