Highlights
Those of you with eagle eyes may have noticed my recent LinkedIn bio – “Parental Leave 👶🏼” The last few months have been the most joyful of my life. It’s also given me the time to really think about what is important to me.
During my first few months as a parent I realized that the standard length of parental leave wasn’t enough time for me to bond and spend time with my baby the way I wanted. Luckily I had the time and opportunity to take an extended leave and I don’t regret a single second. During this time I decided I wasn’t going to go back to a standard 40-hour work week yet, which meant I wasn’t going back to being a VP of Engineering full-time.
So what’s next?
I’m excited to announce that I will be open to working with startups as an advisor as well as working with engineering leaders individually as a coach.
Please reach out if you, or someone you know, are looking for ways to supercharge your engineering leadership. In particular, I’d love to help smaller startups that don’t have a VP of Engineering but want the advice and knowledge of a seasoned startup leader. I’m also interested in coaching / advising Engineering Managers, Directors, Heads of Engineering, or VPs of Engineering that want to up-level their leadership skills.
Areas where I can help companies include: advising early-stage companies on their technical strategy, growing leadership skills, strengthening engineering management ability within a company, improving engineering delivery and processes, helping build great engineering teams, and helping companies accurately evaluate engineering performance.
For individuals interested in advancing their career in engineering management, I'm available to strengthen your confidence in your leadership ability, help you navigate management challenges, learn new methods for handling common team issues, and can help you focus on career promotions and growth.
Interested? Reach out and we can discuss what your needs are and how I could help.
