Dean Browell is a researcher and strategist with a background in briefing data to various governmental and healthcare organizations worldwide. He co-founded Feedback, a company specializing in deep social listening to provide actionable insights to clients globally.

During his PhD studies, Dean developed a technique for applying ethnographic methods in social spaces to better understand the voice of the customer. His research interests focus on online behavior, engagement on the internet, niche audiences, and the impact of innovation, technology, and pop culture on identity.

Dean Browell teaches his ethnographic technique at VCU School of Business and has instructed nonprofits at the University of Richmond's Institute on Philanthropy. He co-authored a book on understanding Generation X's role in Healthcare titled 'Don’t You Forget About Me' with Alan Shoebridge and Dan Miers.

Passionate about equality and amplifying marginalized voices, Dean co-founded Hidden In Plain Site in 2020 to use technology for cultural education and shed light on overlooked aspects of society.

Dean's educational background includes a B.A. in Drama from Randolph-Macon College, a PhD in Education focusing on the 17-25 y/o demographic engagement from Capella University, and an MBA in Marketing from University of Phoenix.

His professional experience spans roles such as Chief Behavioral Officer at CareStarter, Adjunct Faculty Member at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Business, and Co-Founder at Hidden In Plain Site among others.
