Highlights
Great interview with my father 86 year old Vic Lindal with Pete Fry "The Goalie Mindset Guy" I was fortunate from about 6 years old my father taught me Endpoint Visualization when we were on the golf course. We used to go golfing every Sunday morning with my brother Mark, Darren, my dad, and my grandad. I remember hitting a great shot and my dad said "Stop and take a picture" Begin with the end in mind. He also had me study Jack Nicklaus who was my hero. When Jack played golf he would go and walk the golf course backwards. Luv it.
I used EPV - Endpoint Visualization at 10 years old to go from being ranked about 50th in Canada for swimming to at 12 being ranked 2nd in Canada in several events and about the top 10 in the world. In addition, I was one of the top junior golfers in Canada finishing 3rd in the Little Masters.
Dad and I went on to be the first father-son entry in Ironman Canada with my Dad. I was 18 and he was 50. We used EPV to finish the race. That year at 18 I did not finish the race but went back at 19 a year later to be first out of the water in 49 minutes. I went onto the bike going 4 hours 52 minutes and setting the bike record.
I led one of the top guys in the world to about 8 miles into the run when I strained by Achilles Tendon. My dad came out on the race course and helped me reset my endpoint visualization as I was about to quit.
He said "Son if you don't finish the race the bike record won't stand" He helped me anchor the why to keep going. I taped my ankle up and walked the marathon in 7 hrs 16 minutes but finished the race.
Thanks, Dad for always being there and coaching me on these skills I have used consistently in all my endeavors. #luvyou You are the best dad!
Good on you Pete for capturing my Dad's knowledge. He has been a coach for over 70 years and the most successful Amateur Coach in Canada, coaching in 6 different sports winning State/Provincial and National Championships.

After a nearly three-week whirlwind USA business networking trip, it’s great to be back home in Melbourne!
Catching up in Melbourne’s famous Collins Street today with Richard Jabara.
Number 87 Collins Street (home of the exclusive Athenaeum Club) is significant as Richard and I were there in 1996 to launch the first Entrepreneurs Organization Chapter Entrepreneurs' Organization in Australia with Richard driving EO as Founding President.
Was fortunate to travel and live in Australia during 1996 to help build EO in Australia/NZ and Asia with Richard.
Richard also secured us a fun article in Australia's Financial Review. If I tried to jump like that now I would for surely do a hamee.
Fantastic opportunities to be working with Richard. Appreciate his help with our boys when they moved out to Australia pre covid!!!!! Love the work Richard is doing to advance support for victims of trauma and abuse through the launch of National Survivors Day!!! and charity IGFF (In Good Faith Foundation) and enjoyed being at Government House in Melbourne to support Richard and the great team!!!
I found it fascinating also hearing about Richard’s family history including:
a. Seventh Great Grandfather being a signatory of the Declaration of Independence (On behalf of New Jersey)
b. Richard's father when they lived in the USA helped run JFK’s California campaign in the 60's
c. Richard with his brother were the pioneers in Cause Related PR in Australia
