President & CEO of the United Performing Arts Fund

Deanna Tillisch was the President and CEO of the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) from 2011 to 2020.23 She led UPAF, which raises funds to support arts groups throughout southeastern Wisconsin, for nearly a decade.2 During her tenure, Tillisch played a critical role in amplifying the voice of the performing arts and their impact on entertainment, local economy, and education.2

Under her leadership, UPAF raised more than $100 million for performing arts groups, making it the No. 1 arts fund in the country for dollars raised.2 Tillisch also led efforts to expand UPAF's engagement in underserved communities through initiatives like UPAF Connect and UPAF Bright Minds.2

Prior to her role at UPAF, Tillisch spent two decades in various positions, including her time at Northwestern Mutual.5 She is known for her outstanding public relations skills, superior communication and media abilities, and her talent for forging powerful client relationships.1

Following her retirement from UPAF in September 2020, Tillisch planned to focus on promoting the importance of arts and accessibility for individuals with special needs.2 UPAF dedicated a special fund in honor of Tillisch's efforts, named after her daughter Kasey, who has cognitive and physical disabilities.2

Currently, Tillisch describes herself as a Community Volunteer and is based in Hartland, WI.4 She is an alumna of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.4
