She is dedicated to pioneering new academic programs in creative practice and Creative Industries within Higher Education while also championing professional validation in cultural and creative domains.

Debbie engages with practitioners, musicians, industry professionals, and students across different settings to promote creativity and excellence.

Her academic journey includes a BA in Social Anthropology and an MA in Academic Practice from SOAS University of London.

Throughout her career, she has been involved with various organizations in key roles such as Co-Founder at Hazellville Music, Senior Lecturer and program director at City, University of London, Lecturer at City, University of London, Project Coordinator at Serious, Founder of Jazz Moves, and has contributed to numerous freelance and volunteer assignments.
