🔃 Really enjoying the 'Flip the Script' format at KPMG UK today.

It's a great reminder that the KPMG UK Innovator applications close tomorrow.

It's an excellent opportunity to get your company on the global stage: https://lnkd.in/eCyCv3Na

After a warm welcome from Amy Burnett, we're straight into a panel with:

  • Anne Muir of EOS Deal Advisory
  • Patricia El-Jichi, CFA of Par Equity
  • David Milroy of Maven Capital Partners
  • Duncan Thorburn of Foresight Group

Particularly enjoyed Patricia's take on what makes Scotland-based companies attractive.

Valuations in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 are typically much lower than London and with costs far lower here (think talent, real estate etc), it can be a very capital efficient bet to make. Not least the quality of tech coming through and our university standings.

This ties in well with the message we're sharing with the world through our Foras activities.

Scotland is ready to compete on the world stage and we shouldn't be shy about it.

It does however require us to show up and be visible. This is why we're bullish on IRL and going outwards to international events.

🇬🇧 Next up of course is London Tech Week for the 'Scotland House Takeover'. Details here for Scottish companies keen to get involved - https://lnkd.in/ek4tiAEZ!

In #London next Tuesday?

Great opportunity to be in the room with fellow Series A+ founders, and investors as we officially launch Raising the Bar (RTB LDN).

With so many events happening across the city, it can be hard to find a trusted space with peers at your level where you can share challenges, wins, and more.

Plus we've nailed down a serious panel in Roei Samuel, Oli Harris, Sally Wynter 👹 and Livvie Holt) who have been there and done it, so that now, they can share the ins and outs, do's and don'ts with you.

RSVP, only a few spots left: https://lu.ma/rtb-launch
