Highlights
I am delighted to share that recently I returned to Adobe. I've been itching to return to the creative technology space for some time so this past spring I wrapped up at the ACLU and for a couple of months enjoyed a break from work, spending time with my son as he turned 1. I have returned to Adobe as Vice President of Product Marketing for the Creative Professional business (the verticals driving Adobe's digital imaging, photography, video and design strategies forward).
Adobe's mission to unleash creativity to all is one that resonates deeply with me. Every bit of culture we interact with has likely been touched at some point by an Adobe product (few companies can honestly make such claims!). Creatives have high expectations of the products they use and Adobe has never shied away from constantly evolving and adapting in order to push innovation forward and respond to their needs.
Taking on a Product Marketing role is a new and exciting change for me. Having always been on the product side, I wanted to be closer to the business and more accountable for strategic growth. This role allows me to perfectly blend my love of product with the dynamic challenges of continuing to grow an established and massive business while also competing (hard!) in an ever-changing landscape.
Returning to Adobe (the company where I spent the first 10 years of my career) is like returning home. When I decided to go back to the private sector, the top requirement that anchored my search was to work alongside passionate, kind, smart, and collaborative people. Adobe has this quality x100 and to be back alongside many of the talented folks I worked with 10 years ago is a dream come true. In many ways it was inevitable I would return to Adobe and it is a privilege to be back. Onwards on this journey!
I really enjoyed talking with The Great Discontent about impact through smart products and the benefits of cultural dualities. One of the more fun interviews I've given in recent memory!
