For US domestic freight, tracking is mostly a solved problem—strong infrastructure and reliable GPS visibility are table stakes these days.
But tracking shipments in US/MX cross-border freight? That's a different story.
Most brokers and 3PLs don’t have a dedicated monitoring team to handle these complexities. Instead, tracking is often outsourced to 'track & trace' teams offshore, relying on multiple tools and spreadsheets. This fragmented approach leads to inaccuracies, inefficiencies, and makes it harder to consistently meet client commitments.
Nuvocargo has solved this problem for US/MX freight in a unique & differentiated way. By leveraging the power of NuvoOS, we built a centralized Monitoring Board that consolidates all shipment data into a single, cohesive system. Now, our teams have real-time, reliable access to the information they need to deliver a predictable shipping experience for our customers.
The impact has been immediate:
- 68% increase in operational efficiency for tracking shipment statuses, even as our operations grew by 30% in just the first month.
- 28% improvement in pre-pickup efficiency, ensuring 97% of carrier information is confirmed and available two hours before pickup—drastically reducing potential delays.
We are also continuing to ship more and more GPS integrations, auto-updating events through geofencing, and more so that US-MX end to end shipment tracking has the same quality & visibility you are used to in the US domestic market.

Today we shipped significant improvements to our Carrier Letters of Instruction (LOIs), which is auto-generated from Nuvo OS.
Recognizing the challenges carriers face day to day with outdated and cumbersome processes, we revamped our system from static PDFs to a dynamic process powered by NuvoOS. The impact is very clear: an 83% reduction in document processing times and reducing the steps needed to generate an LOI without errors from 7 steps down to 1.
Our new carrier LOIs give our carriers critical information per loads with a much faster and less error-prone process. This not only saves time but also ensures that every crucial detail, from facility locations to appointment times, is instantly accessible and up-to-date.
Key Updates Include:
- Automated Transparency: Immediately post-booking, our system automatically sends out LOIs and rate confirmations, providing clear and immediate transparency on contract terms and pricing.
- Enhanced Navigation: We integrate precise location coordinates with maps for seamless, error-free navigation to destinations.
- Streamlined Communication: Our revamped contact management system ensures that communications are precise and timely, directly reaching the intended recipients, which significantly reduces the common problem of resending lost emails and attachments.
