Denis O'Brien, a renowned serial entrepreneur, is the founder of Communicorp, a prominent commercial radio and emerging digital media provider, as well as Digicel Group, a comprehensive communications provider operating in 31 markets across the Caribbean, Central America, and the Pacific. With a strong belief in philanthrocapitalism, O'Brien dedicates his personal and professional endeavors to supporting global communities' growth and prosperity. As the patron of the Digicel Foundation, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives in countries like Haiti, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea, and Trinidad & Tobago, focusing on education and community development through the establishment of schools, medical centers, and various other community projects.

O'Brien is actively involved in humanitarian efforts through his roles as a board member of Concern Worldwide, chairman of Frontline Defenders, and Chairman of the Council of Patrons of Special Olympics. His commitment to philanthropy extends to his involvement as the United Nations Broadband Commissioner for Digital Development. His dedication to ensuring inclusivity and progress manifests in his support for various charitable projects aimed at creating a world where no one is left behind.

With a solid educational background, O'Brien pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Boston College and Bachelor of Arts (BA) from University College Dublin. Professionally, he serves as the Owner and Board Chair of Digicel, and has previously held ownership and board positions at Communicorp Media and Esat Telecom.
