So many incredible moments from our time at the Olympics, but one in particular was meeting Snoop! Who would have ever guessed in 1993 when he released Gin and Juice that he would be more popular and more mainstream over 30 years later! His unique ability to continuously evolve/adapt/stay current is I’m sure one of his keys to success. But I think even MORE than that was what we witnessed that evening. He stood in the rain for hours greeting people, taking pictures and engaging with folks. His team tried to give him some breaks, but he wasn’t having it. His desire to connect in the moment with people felt authentic, welcoming and warm.

The ability to authentically connect with teammates and make people feel welcome and valued is a powerful and impactful leadership trait. We are challenging each other to live this out here at Optimum. I’ve learned that one way to bring this to life is to practice being present in the moment, so putting down the phone and actively listening to those in front of us truly goes a long way to making people feel like they matter! #weareoptimum
