Derek Dizon

Derek Dizon is a dedicated professional with a diverse educational background and experience in social work, ethnic studies, and community organizing.

He holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree specializing in Mental and Social Health Services and Allied Professions from the University of Washington. Derek also studied American Ethnic Studies and Asian American Studies at the same institution.

In addition to his graduate studies, Derek pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Sociology at Bellevue Community College, further expanding his knowledge and skills in social sciences.

Derek has contributed his expertise and passion to various organizations, including serving as a Community Organizer at API Chaya. He has also worked as a Project Coordinator at the Carlos Bulosan Centennial Committee, demonstrating his commitment to community engagement and advocacy.

Furthermore, Derek has experience in the education sector, having previously worked as a Substitute Teacher and Center Support Staff at Bright Horizons, where he positively impacted the learning environment and supported students' growth and development.
