Throughout his career, Derek has held various key positions such as being the Board Member of Newtrax, which was acquired by Sandvik for $70 million, and the Founding Board Member of SquareTrade, acquired by Allstate for $1.4 billion.

His leadership as the CEO of Daintree Networks culminated in its acquisition by GE for $100 million, and as the CEO of Zip2, he oversaw its acquisition by Compaq for $300 million, marking Elon Musk's first company.

Derek Proudian's achievements also extend to his role as the General Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures, where he oversaw funds that yielded remarkable returns of $3.5 billion from an initial $225 million in LP capital.

Educationally, Derek holds Masters degrees in Business and Computer Science from Stanford University, further enhancing his expertise.
