Last week, I had the opportunity to represent the Texas Mezzanine Fund Inc on a panel with 🌳Harrison Blair of the Dallas Black Chamber, Nate Bennett CDP of Comerica Bank, and Reo Pruiett of Community Foundations of Texas to discuss racial equity disparities in Dallas and how we can, through collaboration, find solutions to these problems. This panel was moderated by Jerry L. Hawkins, M.Ed. and was hosted by CEO Action for Racial Equity. This was an incredible event. The conversations had, the connections made, and the cumulative desire of the participants to find pathways to change, to balance the scales...it struck me. I was honored to share the stage, but more importantly, thankful to be in the room where these discussions were taking place. From the impactful fireside chat with to the group discussions with leaders like Lisa M. Ong, PCC, CPA, or Kelley Johnson, the energy in the room was palpable, and resonated with me.
