For the second year, the Brazilian Stripe Team 🇧🇷 joined Latitud at the Vamos Latam Summit. The team was impressed by the startups' level of maturity, many of which are already funded and profitable. Here are some of the key trends they saw:
- The Creator Economy shows no signs of slowing down. Numerous attendees who visited our booth were platforms for content or marketplaces for digital influencers. This aligns with a recent report published on Stripe’s blog (link in comments) that showed a 117% year-over-year growth in creators using Stripe’s platform in Brazil. Astonishing number!
- Education: Edtech companies from across LATAM can benefit from the intelligence delivered by Stripe Billing for creating flexible subscription models, with varying prices and billing cycles. Many already do, like PrograMaria and Platzi
- Agribusiness: Brazil stands at the forefront of agricultural technology development and remains a blue ocean. Stripe Connect can make it easier for producers to sell directly to buyers and distributors.
- Many visitors were already familiar with Stripe, and users expressed appreciation for the ease of use of our solution, particularly Stripe Billing (subscriptions) and Connect (platforms and marketplaces).
