“The power of youth in action” is truly reflected when Global Shapers take over Geneva for the Global Shapers Community Annual Summit, which took place between July 10 and 12th. I was lucky enough to join for a fourth time, second as the Community Champion for Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru.
We had two and a half very intense days of impact and leadership workshops, regional sessions and purpose circles discussions, including an opening plenary at CERN, and one extra day of work for the members of the Governing Bodies (with a particularly special connection time this year).
These days only confirmed the reason why I joined Global Shapers Quito Hub and the community as a whole in 2015: the power of youth and the connections we make along our paths.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to start my second year as CC, surrounded by an incredible regional team for Latin America with Micael Bermudez, Thales Dantas, Sabrina Battilana, Yeison Valencia Garzón, Andrea Rioseco Sanjuan, José Sándigo J., João Pedro Rocha and Rocío Chinellato; alongside a stellar global team at HQ (Natalie Pierce, Kenza M'haimdat, Albina Krasnodemska, Raissa K., Karen Saez, Sophia Simmons, Miao Sun), Community Champions, Advisory Council, and Board Members, to help the hubs in Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru reach their full potential!
