Next week the Flint Culture team will be at London Art Fair, a showcase of modern and contemporary art and one of our longstanding clients.

I am particularly looking forward to the launch of ‘50 for 50’ when museum partner The Charleston Trust - the dazzlingly decorated home of artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant - will unveil new artworks and pieces from its collection in anticipation of its 50th year anniversary. Charleston was a meeting place for some of the 20th century’s most radical artists, writers and thinkers known as the Bloomsbury Group.

It’s easy enough to go down a rabbit hole when reading about it and I’m intrigued to see how it is brought to life at the fair through the talks programme and Platform section, guest curated by Gemma Rolls-Bentley, bringing together art that shines a light on Queer love and life.

There is plenty more to get stuck into, from Encounters which showcases up-and-coming galleries and emerging artists, to Photo50 and the brand new prints section.

Any clients or friends who are attending the fair, do drop me a line.

And you can read more about Charleston’s campaign in this great piece by Harriet Sherwood in the Guardian.
