I started my career managing the operations of a grassroots nonprofit organization in Jordan focused on community development. This experience has led me to understand the complexities of creating, maintaining and measuring change in general, and social impact in specific. I then moved to the corporate sector and joined Aramex in Dubai, the Middle East’s biggest shipping and logistics company, as a Sustainability Leader. I was responsible for working with department representatives to ensure alignment with the company’s environmental, social and governance commitments. <br><br>After that, I joined Sustainable Square, a boutique consulting firm in Dubai, where I was a Senior Advisor on Sustainability and Social Investment, and later became the Head of Sustainability Advisory Services. I worked with c-suite teams at large-scale organizations to develop their sustainability strategies, measure social impact and produce annual sustainability reports. <br><br>In 2020, I co-founded Tidal Impact, a coalition-based impact financing and development firm driven by social, environmental and financial performance.<br><br>I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Jordan and a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Delaware. I received executive education in leadership, organizing and change at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. I am trained in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) sustainability reporting standards and the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology. <br>
