Dirk Sanders

Associate Research Fellow University of Exeter

Dirk Sanders is a dedicated researcher focusing on food webs, particularly the dynamics of predator-prey and parasitoid-host interactions.

His primary interest lies in understanding how mutualistic and antagonistic interactions influence food web dynamics and impact community persistence.

Dirk also explores the relationship between ecosystem engineering, which involves the physical modifications made by organisms, and food web interactions.

He completed his Dr. in Biology as well as a Diplom in General Biology at the University of Göttingen.

Currently, Dirk Sanders serves as a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, having previously held positions as an Associate Research Fellow at the same institution and as a Postdoc at the University of Bern, Imperial College London, and the University of Exeter.
