Domenic DeSocio

Domenic DeSocio is an award-winning educator, faculty developer, and instructional designer specializing in equity and inclusion, anti-racist and queer pedagogies, course and curriculum design, instructional technology, language learning, and composition/writing pedagogy. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at the University of Michigan. Domenic has a diverse educational background, including a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in German Studies from the University of Michigan and Freie Universität Berlin, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in German Studies and History from Columbia University in the City of New York. Throughout his academic journey, Domenic has been actively involved in various organizations at the University of Michigan, such as the Sweetland Center for Writing, the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures Curriculum Committee, and more.
