Donal Godfrey, S.J.

Donal Godfrey, S.J. is an Irish Jesuit priest who currently serves as the University Chaplain and Associate Director for Faculty and Staff Spirituality at the University of San Francisco.123 He runs Ignatian spirituality programs for faculty and staff, including book clubs, retreats, and the Ignatian Faculty Forum.1

Godfrey was born in Liverpool, England and was educated at Stonyhurst College and University College, Cork.1 He is a member of the Irish Bar and holds degrees in philosophy, theology, and ministry from various institutions.1 He is the author of the book "Gays and Grays: The Story of the Gay Community at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church".15

In addition to his role at USF, Godfrey serves as a Celebrant at St Agnes Parish in San Francisco.3 He is known as a gifted preacher and campus minister whose work has inspired many.4
