Education wise, she holds a Master's degree in Food Studies and Business Administration from Chatham University, where she also studied Non-Degree Food, Farm, and Field programs. Additionally, she pursued a B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from Duquesne University.

Dora's professional journey includes roles like Director of Community Projects at Grow Pittsburgh, Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer at Bridgeway Capital, and Assistant Director Of Development at Allegheny County Economic Development. Her experience extends to positions such as Business Development Manager, Quantitative Data Assistant, and Outreach & Communications Manager in various organizations.

Alongside her professional roles, Dora has been actively engaged in community service, having served as a Community Engagement & Volunteer Coordinator at Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Community Case Manager at Brashear Association, Incorporated, and Volunteer Member at different organizations like Community Engagement Scholar and Strong Women, Strong Girls. Noteworthy is her participation as a KEYS Member in Americorps.
