Dorothy Feltner is a dedicated professional with a background in community development, non-profit work, research, and sustainable practices. With two years of experience in Americorps VISTA, Dorothy supported non-profits in capacity building and development, notably contributing to the successful launch of Albion Community Gardens. Dorothy is currently engaged in research exploring the meaningfulness of work and sustainable lifestyles within the yoga industry. Her academic qualifications include a Master's of Science in Sustainable Management from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, a Ph.D. in Communication and Media Studies from Wayne State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Geography from Northern Michigan University. Her research interests encompass topics such as organizational communication and urban sustainability, and she is proficient in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Apart from her academic pursuits, Dorothy holds certifications as a yoga teacher and is passionate about gardening. Her professional experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Innovation Studio Assistant, and Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University, as well as stints as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member at Build Albion Initiative and Lotts Creek Community School. She also has experience in the culinary industry, having worked as a Sushi Chef at Zen House and as a Sushi Crafter at Temaki & Tea / Smoothie King.
