Ranch in 1986, a research and innovation firm that has contributed to the creation or reinvention of 18 products or services in the average U.S. household. He further established Innovation Engineering, a field of study focused on System Driven Innovation, impacting over $75 billion in innovation projects in the USA and Europe.

Notably, Doug led the Brain Brew Custom Whiskey team in developing the patent-pending WoodCraft Finishing method, garnering numerous accolades in the spirits industry.
