Doug holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. He also completed his Master's in Business Administration, Counseling, and Health Physical Education, as well as a Bachelor's in Administration, Insurance, and Management at West Texas A&M University.

With a diverse career history, Doug has held various key roles in different organizations. He currently serves as the Community Impact Pastor at Hill Country Bible Church in Austin. Previously, he held positions such as Community Impact, Mobilization & Facilities/Grounds Pastor, Team Lead Pastor for Ministry Support, Executive Pastor, and Administrative Pastor at the same church.

Before his tenure at Hill Country Bible Church, Doug gained valuable experience in higher education institutions. He served as the Staff and Student Development professional in the Division of Housing and Food Service at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, he held leadership positions at West Texas A&M University, including Director of Residential Living and Judicial Affairs, Director of Student Activities & Assistant Director of the Vergil Henson Activities Center, and Residence Hall Director.
