Doug Johanson, CFA, is a co-founder and former CEO of Vista Capital Partners, a Portland-based independent financial advisory firm.12 He retired from his position as CEO in April 2022 after leading the company for twenty-one years.4 Currently, Johanson serves as the chairman of the firm's board of directors.12

Johanson co-founded Vista Capital Partners in 2001 with Michael O'Reilly.23 The firm has grown to manage over $2.5 billion in assets for nearly 600 clients, specializing in serving those with $2 million or more to invest.12

Throughout his career at Vista, Johanson has been instrumental in shaping the company's vision and growth.3 After his retirement as CEO, he was succeeded by Dougal Williams, who previously served as the firm's chief wealth officer and lead advisor.1

Outside of his professional life, Johanson is known for his involvement in community initiatives.
