The IRS has officially reopened the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) Voluntary Disclosure Program (VDP), which will remain available until November 22, 2024. This second ERC VDP is designed to support businesses that may have unintentionally received incorrect ERC payments, frequently due to misleading marketing practices. Participating in this program allows businesses to rectify their claims and return any credits they mistakenly received, thus minimizing the risk of future audits, penalties, and interest.
