Douglas Wallace is a dedicated individual with a passion for enhancing our knowledge of the oceans by implementing innovative observational technologies and fostering the advancement of ocean science and marine environmental conservation in developing nations.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oceanography with a focus on Chemical aspects from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) with Honors in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia.

With a rich professional background, Douglas has served as the Scientific Director at the Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response (MEOPAR) Network. Previously, he held esteemed positions such as the Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Ocean Science and Technology and Canada Excellence Research Chair in Ocean Science and Technology at Dalhousie University. Additionally, he has experience as the Research Division Head at GEOMAR.

His expertise lies in oceanography, environmental science, marine technology, and research leadership. Douglas Wallace has a strong commitment to promoting ocean conservation efforts and sharing scientific knowledge globally.
