Douglas Williams
Director Of Operations at Consolidated Edison Battery Storage
Douglas Williams is a NJ Registered Professional Electrical Engineer, currently serving as the Distributed Energy Storage Director of Operations at ConEdison Battery Storage since 2018. In his role, he oversees the deployment, installation, and ongoing operations of Energy Storage products, focusing on quality, schedule adherence, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Prior to his current position, Douglas held the role of Director of Operations at JCI Distributed Energy Storage Team from 2016 to 2018, managing the deployment and maintenance of battery systems in the field.
From 2011 to 2016, he worked as the Solar Team Engineering Manager at Johnson Controls, leading a team that managed the North American Solar Development Center of Excellence. During his tenure, Douglas was involved in overseeing the design, engineering, and commissioning of 30 projects totaling 43 MW of PV and 1.6MW/1.8MWh of Energy Storage projects.
Between 2005 and 2011, Douglas served as a Senior Engineer at Entech, where he was responsible for conceptual design, electrical distribution design, and monitoring system deployment for over 10MW of installed solar projects, including notable installations at Denver International Airport and Fresno International Airport.
With over two decades of experience in designing photovoltaic systems for various applications such as off-grid, demand management, and commercial grid-connected projects, Douglas possesses expertise in electrical distribution systems, energy modeling, financial trade-off analysis, and solar project due diligence.
